K347 Kit – LNER Class A8 4-6-2T (Diagram 63/63A Boiler)

All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!

Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.

Suitable for experienced modelers, our K347 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.

All forty-five of the H1 locomotives were rebuilt under Gresley s guidance to become A8s between 1931 and 1936. This improved their adhesion and created a much more useful engine. This kit of the A8 has the same Diagram 63 / 63A boiler that were carried by the earlier H1 design.

This kit features:

• 50/50 etched and white metal construction of the more traditional DJH design
• One-piece boiler/firebox
• Detailed lost-wax brass castings and etched chassis frames and nickel silver valve gear.
