BR Class 47 Brush Type 4 (Early Fixed Radiator)
The largest class of main-line diesel locomotives ever constructed in Britain, the 47s worked everywhere on every kind of train, from Inter-City passenger services to merry-go-round coal trains. Class 47 Brush Type 4 Co-Co (early version with fixed radiator grilles) This model depicts D1500-D1806 as running until around 1976, when they were rebuilt with adjustable Serck radiator shutters in line with the later members of the class.
DJH Model Loco Ready to Run
All DJH Model Loco ready to runs are handbuilt to the customers specification – allowing for personalisation of shed number, name and locomotive number. For each model, we offer a range of liveries to match various periods and classes. As an optional extra, you can also add sound and smoke effects to your ready to run for an additional cost.
All DJH models have been designed with an extremely high attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. During the design process, our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to replicate the most intricate details of the original model – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of model builders, toolmakers and craftsmen, all ready to runs are handbuilt to order at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco models are extremely durable and built to last.
All DJH ready to runs are complete with Slaters motor/gearbox and wheelset. Other features include – fully painted locomotive backhead, real coal used in the tender, working screwlink couplings and fully glazed windows.
The standard minimum radius is 6ft /1800mm. If you require a lower radius, please specify when enquiring about your ready to run.
