All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.
Suitable for inexperienced modelers, our K26 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.
Designed by Raven, 20 locomotives were built in 1913-14, with a further 25 built in 1920-22. This three cylinder side tank steam locomotive was originally built with a 4-4-4 wheel layout for rural passenger services. All engines were later reclassified as LNER H1.
Between 1931-36, the LNER class was rebuilt with a 4-6-2 wheel configuration and reclassified as A8. The last engine was withdrawn in 1960.
This kit features:
- Whitemetal one piece boiler and footplate
- Whitemetal superstructure
- Etched coupling rods/connecting rods, coal hopper and number-plates
- Jig drilled chassis
We recommend purchasing our AM10 motor/gearbox and WS K26 wheelset with this kit.
