E133R 19D: Built standard as kit with short tender. Offered in (HOn3.5) or 16.5 (HO) gauge. Fitted with powerful mashima motor & DJH gearbox . The model can be fitted with ESU Loksound decoder supplied programmed with the correct SAR whistle and directional lighting. Non decoder equipped locomotive does not have directional lighting.

E133MXR 19D: Also available built to order with Long Vanderbuilt MX type Tender in both (HOn3.5) and (HO) gauges. ESU Loksound option but speaker and decoder if opted are tender mounted.

The 19D was the final development of a branch line design dating from 1928, and was identical to the preceding 19C except for a reversion to the more common Walschaerts valve gear. 135 were built and delivered before the Second World War by Krupp, Borsig and Skoda; 50 more came after the war from Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd, and a final 50 in 1949 from North British, this last batch distinguished by having a tender with a cylindrical water tank running on six-wheel bogies. These versatile logos have seen service all over the South African system and were in use right up to the end of regular steam working.

Kit Features: One Piece Cast Boiler/Smokebox/Firebox, cast Cab Roof, Backhead, Steam Dome, Chimney, Cylinders and various other parts. Brass and Nickel Silver Etched parts include; Cab sides/front, Tender sides/end, pre-assembled Valvegear, Chassis frames and other smaller parts. There is also a few small fine cast brass fittings. Kit comes with alternative parts to build either the Coal or Oil fired versions. Also comes with Motor/Gearbox, Wheels, Number plates. Only requires transfers, couplings, solder and paint to complete.
