All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.
Suitable for competent modelers, our K33 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.
After Sir Nigel Gresley’s untimely death the LNER had a succession of CMEs, each of whom tried to improve on his predecessors work. The A2 was A H Peppercorn’s bid to design a big Pacific for express passenger duties. Introduced in 1947, the last of the class was withdrawn from service in 1966 leaving just the celebrated no. 60532 ‘Blue Peter’ to survive in preservation.
The kit features a white metal one-piece boiler/firebox/smokebox, cast footplate and detail fittings, an etched fold up cab and tender, with etched chassis and valve gear.
We recommend purchasing our AM9 motor/gearbox and WS K33 wheelset with this kit.
