All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.
Suitable for inexperienced modelers, our K11 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.
These steam locomotives were introduced in 1883 as part of the Caledonian Railway 294 and 711 which were nicknamed ‘Jumbo’. All locomotives of this class survived and were absorbed by LMS in 1923. 238 were still running in 1948 and were transferred to BR ownership.
Kit comes complete with necessary chimneys and domes for CR, LMS or BR versions, also includes etched framed chassis. All DJH Model Loco kits are handmade from pewter and brass etchings to produce durable, hardwearing models.
We recommend purchasing our AM10 motor/gearbox and WS K11 wheelset with this kit.
