All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.
Suitable for experienced modelers, our PMP12 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.
The B17 4-6-0 was a three-cylinder locomotive designed by Greasley for use on the Great Eastern section of the LNER. The kit will cover the last 25 engines (B17/4) which were fitted with the LNER 4200g Group Standard Tender. These were built by Darlington Works (14) in 1936 and by Robert Stephenson & Co. (11) in 1937. They were all named after football clubs and after twenty years in traffic the last one was scrapped in September 1960.
The kit features:
- one-piece cast alloy smokebox/ boiler/firebox
- opening smoke box door with interior detail and tube plate, fold-up etched cab
- 1 piece footplate with etched overlay, sprung buffers
- Finely detailed parts cast in brass, nickel silver and white metal.
We recommend purchasing our GB30R-3M motor/gearbox and WS PMP12 wheelset with this kit.
