All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.
Suitable for experienced modelers, our K318 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.
This kit builds a highly detailed model of the later, long-firebox version of this celebrated class (LMS Nos 5665-5742).
Chassis, valve gear etc are as per the usual DJH Model Loco specification and the main body castings such as footplate, boiler and firebox are produced as single alloy castings to simplify assembly, ensuring that the finished model captures the sleek, elegant lines of the prototype. There was a lot more fine detail on the Jubilees than meets the eye and loco-builders will enjoy adding the many cast fittings (in whitemetal and lost-wax brass) that are included with this kit.
We recommend purchasing our GB30R-3M motor/gearbox and WS K318 wheelset with this kit.
